Craft 3 to Open New Office in Klamath Falls

Regional Business Lender Craft3 to Open New Office in Klamath Falls

Move will increase investment in Southern and Southwest Oregon small businesses and nonprofits

KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON – Regional business lender Craft3 announced today that it will open a new office in Klamath Falls to serve Southern and Southwest Oregon. The move comes after a 16-month assessment of the larger region. Craft3 is a non-depository, mission-focused loan fund that lends to businesses and community projects that need access to capital.

“Our high-touch, creative approach to small business lending requires both a physical presence and the support of regional economic development partners like Team Klamath. We’re thrilled to get both by locating our newest office in Klamath Falls, from which we’ll lend throughout Southern and Southwest Oregon,” said Adam Zimmerman, Craft3 President and CEO. “Craft3 can’t wait to open up our doors this fall, put our heads down, and get to work investing in more Oregonians that need access to capital.”

The new office will primarily serve Klamath, Jackson, Josephine, Lake, Douglas, Curry, and Coos Counties in Oregon. Since Craft3 was founded in 1994, it has invested nearly $30 million in that 7-county region – including partnering with The Freshwater Trust on a project in Medford, United Community Action Network in Josephine County, and Face Rock Creamery in Bandon. The new office will build on those successes to further support the Southern and Southwest Oregon regional economy.

“We are very excited that Craft3 will be opening in Southern Oregon. The availability and deployment of capital will significantly change our business climate here! Craft3 is a change agent that will help us accomplish our mission of jobs, investment and expanded commerce in Klamath County,” said Greg O’Sullivan, Director of KCEDA.

The Klamath Falls office will officially open in 4Q 2017. Recruitment is currently underway for a business lender to anchor that office; interested applicants can visit http://www.craft3.org/Careers/jobs.

Craft3 also has offices in Astoria (opened in 2007), Portland (2007) and Bend (2013), Oregon, and Port Angeles (2005), Seattle (2007), Spokane (2015), and Walla Walla (2016), Washington.
