Darin Rutledge, a longtime Klamath Falls resident, has been hired on as the new Klamath Falls Downtown Association executive director.

Rutledge started work Wednesday after being selected from a group of several other local applicants, according to a news release from KFDA. Brenna O’Sullivan-Fulks, former executive director, first announced her resignation in February so she could be closer to family in California.

Rutledge was previously a manager in the business process outsourcing industry for 10 years and operations manager at Running Y Ranch Resort for four years.

Rutledge also founded a small business related to digital services, in addition to holding a Project Management Professional certification. In his spare time, Rutledge officiates high school and small college football and baseball games, in addition to being a high school basketball official.

The KFDA holds regular networking meetings and other events to work with small businesses in the area and focus on continued downtown Klamath Falls revitalization efforts.
