Klamath IDEA Talk

Hear the story of regional entrepreneurs and network with others in a relaxed and fun setting. These gatherings are designed to bring together entrepreneurs of all ages, founders, business owners, innovators and support organizations under one roof to hear about and discuss opportunities, needs, and great ideas for starting a business, expanding a business, or getting support in the process.
Admission includes appetizers and one non-alcoholic drink ticket. A no-host bar is available.
Networking and refreshments start at 5:30pm, the presentations begin at 6:00 pm!

Big IDEA Feature: Jessica Gomez from Rogue Valley Microdevices
Jessica Gomez is the Founder and CEO of Rogue Valley Microdevices, Inc., the first microelectronics manufacturing company in Southern Oregon. Jessica developed a love for high-tech entrepreneurship after holding positions at Standard Microsystems in the 1990’s and then Integrated Micromachines, Inc. in 2001. In 2003 Jessica relocated to Southern Oregon and founded Rogue Valley Microdevices, Inc. Jessica is an active member of the community and is dedicated to supporting economic development.
She serves on the Oregon Institute of Technology Board of Trustees, was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Oregon Business Development Commission, serves on the Oregon Business Council’s Board of the Directors, The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County and Chairs the Rogue Workforce Partnership. Jessica is also married and is the mother of two beautiful daughters.
She was recently nominated by the Republican and Independent parties for Oregon Senate District 3. While she did not win that race, she is still very dedicated to talking, learning, sharing and being active with southern Oregonians.
Local Pitch Presentations: InventOR Finalists from OIT’s Catalyze and KCC’s Badger Venture Competitions
Projects showcase solutions to important social and economic challenges across the state.
The InventOR Collegiate Challenge is s a statewide, college-level prototyping competition designed to increase the number of inventors and entrepreneurs across the state.
KCC’s Badger Venture and Oregon Tech’s Catalyze Klamath Falls Challenge events are qualifying competitions for the InventOR Collegiate Challenge.
Two local student teams will represent Klamath Falls in the Final InventOR competition in June.
These two teams will share their winning projects at this month’s IDEA Talk on the road to the Finals!
