The event will begin at 5:15PM\, and beverages will be provided by Skyline Brewing Company\, along with food from Pourhorse Cantina. In addition to providing a recap on the state of the Klamath County economy\, we are excited to have Vice President of the Federal Reserve\, Ian Galloway\, and President for Pacific Power\, Ryan Flynn\, provide special presentations at the KCEDA Annual Meeting! You are not going to want to miss this! \nFor more information on these speakers\, please read below. If you have questions regarding this event\, please contact the KCEDA Offices for more details. \nRyan Flynn\, Pacific Power (President)\nRyan Flynn is President of Pacific Power\, an electric utility serving over 800\,000 customers in California\, Oregon and Washington. In his role\, Ryan is responsible for regional strategy and engagement\, and leads customer and community affairs\, government affairs and the legal department. \nRyan joined PacifiCorp in 2006\, holding various positions in the legal department before leaving in 2015 to pursue a family opportunity in Amsterdam\, The Netherlands. He returned to the company in 2018\, where he served as senior vice president and chief legal officer for Pacific Power and was responsible for the legal\, communications and government affairs teams. \nRyan is a native of Corvallis\, Oregon and received his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and his law degree from George Washington University. He previously worked as a Congressional staffer\, and a lawyer for Troutman Pepper in Washington\, D.C. and Davis Wright Tremaine in Seattle\, Washington. He is a longtime board member at the Dougy Center\, which provides support to grieving children and teens\, and he serves on the executive committee of the Portland Metro Chamber. He is a former board member of OMSI\, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Ryan and his family live in Lake Oswego\, Oregon. \nIan Galloway\, Federal Reserve (Vice President)\nIan Galloway is vice president and regional executive of the Portland Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this role\, Ian engages with business and banking leaders throughout the state of Oregon\, southern Washington\, and the Idaho panhandle as part of the Bank’s commitment to understanding and reflecting the communities it serves. He represents the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in the region and supports the Portland Branch Board of Directors. Ian joined the San Francisco Fed in 2007. Since then\, he has worked in several roles to advance the Bank’s commitment to supporting a healthy and sustainable economy\, with a particular focus on financial inclusion for low- and moderate-income communities. Most recently\, Ian served as the Bank’s regional field manager for the state of Oregon and led the Bank’s community development finance team. Ian received a master of public policy degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor of arts degree from Colgate University.

SUMMARY:KCEDA’s Economic Summit (2023)
DESCRIPTION:Today\, the Klamath County Economic Development Association (KCEDA) has announced they will be hosting their 2nd Annual Economic Summit. This special event takes place on January 9th\, 2023 at the Ross Ragland Theater\, from 8:30-11:30AM. Admission is $10 at the door\, giving attendees access to the full program\, in addition to coffee and other refreshments.  \nThis year’s Economic Summit consists of several presentations from various experts from throughout the state and region\, as well offers attendees a chance to participate in a Q&A session with a panel of community stakeholders representing different industries and interests within Klamath County. Panelists and presenters will be discussing important topics related to local healthcare\, education\, energy\, finance\, agriculture\, real estate\, and more throughout the day. Additionally\, Josh Lehner\, Economist for the State of Oregon and Damon Runberg\, Business Oregon Regional Economist\, will be participating in the program\, providing attendees information on Klamath County’s economic and employment forecasts for the upcoming year. \nCommissioner Kelley Minty has been working with KCEDA to develop a compelling program that would explore several aspects of the county’s economy. Minty spoke about the return of the event\, saying\, “Having an event like this helps our community be more informed on the state of the economy and gives people an opportunity to share their thoughts about where it is headed. I think it is really valuable for the area’s stakeholders to come together and ‘touch base’ during the summit\, because it reinforces a spirit of collaboration locally.” \nKCEDA CEO\, Randy Cox\, added to Minty’s comments\, stating\, “There is economic momentum going on in the Klamath County. I believe it is important to talk about our economy with the community\, and the summit provides an excellent opportunity to keep people informed on a wide range of relevant topics impacting our region.” Cox will also be providing a presentation at the event\, detailing KCEDA’s work over the past year and discussing active development projects the organization is presently involved with.  \nThe Economic Summit for 2023 is sponsored by the following businesses: Pacific Crest Federal Credit Union\, Coldwell Banker Holman Premier Realty\, Avista Utilities\, Gathering Grounds\, and Molatore\, Scroggin\, Peterson & Co. DESCRIPTION:  \nJoin us September 17\, 2022\, for the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest\, and take in the scenic beauty of Klamath County during the fall harvest season.Hosted by Klamath County Economic Development Association (KCEDA) each September alongside the German tradition\, the Klamath Basin Oktoberfest is an affordable\, family-friendly event that brings together Southern Oregon’s very best in brewers\, food vendors\, entertainment\, and outdoor fun. \nThe event promotes Southern Oregon’s brewing products\, where brewers such as the highly acclaimed Skyline Brewing Company\, will be in attendance. The Klamath Basin’s tastiest food options showcase some of the top region’s restaurant vendors\, including delicious offerings from the Running Y Ranch Resort. \nPeople of all ages are welcome\, with games\, activities\, and live entertainment such as Fleischklopfer\, along with food to accommodate all interests and palettes.
