Sky Lakes Reveals OHSU Collaborative Campus Designs

Sky Lakes Medical Center has released new details and concepts for a four story medical complex across from the main hospital.

Dubbed the Collaborative Health Center, the roughly 100,000 square-foot office spaces aim to support an Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) campus for rural health that launched in fall 2015, in addition to expanded facilities for lab work, primary care clinics, a drop-in clinic and Cascades East Family Medicine.

The entire project costs $50 million and would sit along the northwest corner of the Sky Lakes campus, according to previous reports from the Herald and News.

Sky Lakes Spokesman Tom Hottman said crews are already preparing to break ground soon. Evacuations of the construction site for the new building are also set to start on Monday.

The parking lot in front of Cascades East will be closed and off limits. Patients are encouraged to use the lower level of the hospital’s main parking structure, according to a news release.
